Anthony Levandowski

Engineering Manager
Anthony Levandowski is an Engineering Manager at Google, and is the lead product manager for Google’s driverless car. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. In 1997 he taught himself about databases and private extranets and founded his first company, La Raison ("The Reason"). By 1998 Levandowski was a freshman at UC Berkeley, majoring in industrial engineering and operations research (IEOR), and a dedicated part-time businessman. In 2001, Levandowski invented the winning project for the Java Technolgoy Lego MindStorms Challenge. Shortly after completing college, Levandowski joined Google as a software developer on the inaugural StreetView team. He is also the inventor of the robotic motorcycle "Ghostrider" featured at the Smithsonian Institution.
